Toadstools or Mushrooms

I'm in the process of putting together my kits and patterns for Stitches and Craft in April and have come across a dilemma what to call my pattern Mushrooms or Toadstools???
What do you think?

People have often said to me I love your mushrooms but don't know where to put them as I don't have little kids.....Well just a little look at where my mushrooms ended up last week I use to have them in the lounge room but they have made there way to the kitchen....So in response to the questions the limit to where they can pop up is all up to you and your imagination...

Harry's Burrito..

Today I spent the day making Burrito a fab pattern kit I got from Dear Fii at the Stitches and Craft Show.
He was so much fun to make and a easy pattern to follow....SO much I have to learn about pattern writing :)
It was a great to be making some things for Harry Today.

If you think Burrito's hands are looking a little big well thats becasue I traced around Harrisons hand and used the out line to make Burrito's hands.... I also stitched a little momento for Harrison when he grows up...

I think it turned out great Fii has a great choice in fabrics and Harrison like's his new friend...

I thought I would just show you a sneek peek of some of my new boy softie range robot (which I'm still ironing out the chinks) and Monster.... I love "Bot" the robot as he has a little door that opens to show his heart "Ahhhh"...

Bye for now!

While Harry sleeps....

Ok so I'm back to the normal run of things now and starting to design some new and exciting things for my end of year markets.
However today I found myself with a little more time on my hands as Master Harrison decided to take a 3 1/2 hour sleep this afternoon.....To some people it may not seem long but for me whom over the last 2 months has had trouble with getting him to sleep longer then a 1/2 hr at a time during the day...well to put it mildly it was a MIRACLE....
So what do I do with that time....sew of course.
I have been meaning to use my new wrist band pin cushion that I got from the lovely Fii from dearfii...It came in so handy as I was moving from coffee table to sew station to ironing board. And oh look there they were following me around. It was a match made in heaven...
Yet another buy from the Stitches and Craft Show Plain cushion covers and Fabric from CLOTH......
Ok so I'm totally in LOVE with CLOTH fabrics and today (while Harry slept) I whiped up 3 cushions for my lounge.... I also teaed them up with a Ink and Spindle fabric (the large middle fabric). The girls from Melbourne have a studio that I would DIE for and are every so lovely.
buy for now

Caught in a Stitch

Well it has come to an end and what an end it is.

(My stall at the show- My little "wonderland")

I had the time of my life and found myself laughing in stitches most of the day with some of the most wonderful and inspiring group of indie crafter's I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Being a newbie to the scene I found a group of ladies more then happy to take me under there wings and guide me in many wonderful and exciting directions.

I couldn't wait to see Audry and Maude as after having met them at the 2008 Stitches and Craft Show and the inspiration and guidance that they were more then willing to share, I just had to thank them and show them what I had been up to over the last year.

I was positioned next to Kate from Please Eloise whom I have been chatting along with on the etsy dust forum and she was a delight to met and I couldn't help but purchase a little something for my niece from her.

I must say I did support a lot of local talent and will blog about my finds over the next few days.

Seeing Owls

Well today I spent the morning putting the finishing touches on my baby owl mobiles and I must admit that I just love them.

Packed and ready for the show.

Harrison spent the morning tugging on the mobiles before I was able to get them into the bags. At least I know that they are baby & toddler proof.
Harrison was more then willing to help me take photos of the owls outside in the sun.

Not such a cloudy day

Well today was spent completing my rain clouds I have a large varity of colours however this would have to be my fav so far.
I just the Yellow and Blue tones together.
I have also been working on my bird cages and will have a limited number avaliable for purchase at the Stitches and Craft Show.

Only 1 week to go and so many more things left on my to do list.
Must get back to sewing.

Well I'm certainly counting down the sleeps untill the Sydney stitches and craft show begins .

I have a to do list that is just getting bigger and not smaller every day.

I have now finished all of my mushroom families and had a chance due to the weather man to get some fresh air and take some lovely photos.
This gives you all a sneek peak on what to expect from Gifts Created this August.
